Keynote: The Power of the Pause
Deb Gee | Mindful Event Guru

Introduction by Jim Kelley | Vice President, Marketing and Industry Relations, Fern Expo & IRF Treasurer

Meetings. Performance Goals. Travel. Deadlines. Our successful professional lives have us functioning at an incredibly frenetic pace. How many priorities can we really juggle at once while maintaining the levels of performance we expect of ourselves?  Sometimes we need to just pause.

Noted Mindful Events Guru Deb Gee will kick off our education program with a discussion about “The Power of the Pause.” She’ll offer practical advice on how to slow down, reflect and focus so that you can feel reinvigorated when you resume your work and activities. Deb will help you understand how incorporating mindfulness into our everyday lives can improve not only wellness and focus, but also creativity and productivity. You’ll learn techniques that will help you become more connected and focused on the specific information in front of you or the task at hand. Deb will also help you make the connection between being fully present in the moment and clearly envisioning and planning your next steps.

Moments of Reflection. Meditation. Practicing Gratitude. Gentle Stretching. Deb may coax you out of your comfort zone as you find new ways to feel refreshed, reinvigorated, and ready to realize your goals.
