Incentive Travel Toolkit, Section 1: Industry Overview

by Incentive Research Foundation

Over the last year, the incentive travel industry has experienced the most tumultuous time in its history. Despite the cancellations and travel restrictions, incentive travel is poised for a strong recovery due to the value and benefits incentive travel rewards deliver to organizations including increased profitability, employee and channel partner loyalty, talent attraction and retention and more.

In our 2020 Incentive Travel Industry Index conducted in partnership with FICP and SITE Foundation, respondents indicated that incentive travel rewards have an established value in organizations that utilize them. Only 21% of respondents noted their programs will need to be re-justified post-pandemic, while the balance had senior management support.

As businesses work to recover, incentives can play a central role in helping to accelerate the speed of recovery. Whether you are looking to establish a program or re-justify incentive travel spend, this toolkit contains the resources and information needed to get underway.
